Register for the AzSCA Summer Series: MTSS

If you are a current member, you are able to register for the AzSCA Summer Series. It will take place on Zoom on June 16 and 17th.

What is all the fuss about MTSS? Is it just another educational initiative that will come and go? This two-part training will be an overview of the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) prevention framework and the role school counselors play in its site-specific design and implementation. Recently, the American School Counselor Association included MTSS in the 5th edition of the ASCA National Model (2025). Our goal is to discuss and take part in activities that help us to think about how implementing key elements of MTSS would make our work as school counselors more effective and efficient while we support students. We will discuss Tier 1 (whole school) initiatives, Tier 2 (small group) interventions, and Tier 3 (1:1 intensive) supports. You will have the opportunity to learn about the presenter's experience implementing MTSS with her multidisciplinary team at her school and the way that impacted her role as a school counselor. You will leave with several resources that you can bring back to your school as you start the 2026-2027 school year.
