The Arizona School Counselors Association, Inc. awards three high school seniors a $2,000.00 non-renewable scholarship to assist with post-secondary education costs.

Eligibility

• Must be a high school senior attending a public or private secondary school in the state of Arizona.
• Must be a permanent resident of the state of Arizona.
• Must plan to attend a post-secondary institution during the 2025-2026 school year.
• Must have a school counselor employed by your school who is an Arizona School Counselors Association member.

Essay

Applicants must submit a short essay (500 words or less) on the following topic:

Leadership opportunities are important to experience as a high school student. One learns the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn to identify and display effective communication and interpersonal skills. Describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school.

**PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME, THE NAME OF YOUR SCHOOL OR THE NAME OF YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELOR IN THE ESSAY** 
 

Deadline: Entries must be submitted by 8pm on December 2, 2024.

Award Notification: Only the award winners will be notified. Winners will be notified on or before December 12, 2023. The award winners will be recognized at the AzSCA awards ceremony on February 3, 2025. The judges' decision will be final.
