THERESA ACOSTA
CHINO VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

SCHOOL COUNSELOR: IVETTE D'ANGELO

Throughout high school, I have received four soccer Varsity letters, an honorable mention from the state, and a ranking of first place in my senior class. Countless volunteer hours as I am a weekly Heritage Park Zoo volunteer, as I educate Zoo guests about our wildlife and environment. I as well have received college readiness as a student in the Upward Bound program. With all the dual enrollment courses and extra college courses I have taken, I create the opportunity for myself to get ahead in my college education, as I am a prospective scholar of the University of Arizona.

I have received AIA recognition and awards for my achievements in football my Junior and Senior year.  I plan to attend college next year at Eastern Arizona College and start towards my goal of being an industrial engineer.

MAHTAB JAGHRATI
WEST-MEC NORTHEAST CAMPUS

SCHOOL COUNSELOR: MONICA HOOK

When I first came to the U.S I was bullied and discriminated against constantly, I had to learn English, and make my way in American schools. But now I’m happily attending 3 schools, Deer Valley High School, West-MEC, and Paradise Valley Community College. I also enjoy serving my community and look forward to continue to do so.
