AzSCA supports school counselors through professional development, resources, and advocacy at the state and national level. We empower school counselors to lead systemic change by delivering to all students an ASCA National Model Program, aligned with state standards for academic, personal/social, and career development.
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Back to school brings new challenges both in our school system and in our profession. Unfortunately, we start this school year with a loss of jobs by educational professionals as well as budgets that have been sharply reduced. This challenge of meeting the needs of our students has just got tougher but I have confidence in the Professional School Counselors across our state to meet this challenge head on and provide what our students need . Join AzSCA Association and be part of the charge to improve education in Arizona.
AzSCA Association is for professional school counselors, counselor educators and school counseling students to connect and learn from each other. Get answers to your school counseling questions, share lesson plans and best practices to become the best school counselor you can be. Explore and learn more about the ASCA National model and the Arizona implementation guide to becoming a RAMP award winner. Learn about research based programs that is necessary for responsible and effective school counseling programs.
May this be the best year you have ever had as a school counselor as you help students build their futures and change their lives.
Allen Hill Jr.
